FAQ

What is the weekend itinerary of events?

On Friday October 30th, we will have a welcome reception at Rough Draft Bar + Books at 7:30pm.
On Saturday October 31st, the Wedding ceremony and reception will be at the Black Walnut Farm at starting at 4:00pm.
On Sunday November 1st, we will have a farewell brunch also at the Black Walnut Farm starting at 10:30am.


Where is the wedding ceremony and reception

Both will be at the Black Walnut Farm

What time should we arrive for the ceremony?

Please try to arrive by 4pm.


Is the ceremony outside?

The ceremony will be outside unless bad weather forces us to move it inside. We will have a tent with heaters along with the heated barn for the reception but please plan for chilly weather!


Is the reception outside?

Our cocktail hour will be outside. Dinner and dancing will be inside the heated barn. There will always be a place to warm up.


Are Kids allowed?

We are limiting the kids allowed at the wedding to just nieces and nephews of the Bride and Groom.


Are plus ones allowed?

We aren't allowing plus-ones at our wedding, as we'd like to keep our short guests list to our loved ones.


When is the rsvp deadline?

September 25th, 2026


Is there a wedding registry?

We do not have a registry as your presence is our greatest gift


Getting to and from the venue?

We will have a shuttle bus going from Kingston Regency Inn to the venue, picking guests up at 3:45pm.
The Shuttle going back to The Regency will start at 8pm.
The last shuttle bus back to The Regency will leave at 11:30pm.
Guests may also drive to the venue, as there is plenty of parking available in a gravel lot. Cars may be left in the lot overnight if needed.
UBERS AND LYFTS IN THE AREA ARE NOT RELIABLE. IF YOU ARE NOT USING THE SHUTTLE BUS, WE RECOMMED PLANNING A RIDE BACK AHEAD OF TIME.

Are photos allowed during the ceremony?

We will provide a brief moment before we begin the ceremony to allow our guests to take a quick photo. We kindly ask that after the photo opportunity, you turn off your phones and remain present for our ceremony. We will share photos from our photographer on this website after the wedding.


What is the closest airport to the venue?

Albany International Airport is about a 45 minute drive from the venue.


How is getting around in the area?

If you hope to travel between towns in the area (We love Woodstock!), a car will be needed.
Our blocked hotel, The Kingston Regency Inn, is about a 15 minute walk to downtown Kingston, which includes the venue for the welcome reception on Friday.
